Here's what we mean about the van. That metal strap is rusted through and hanging down. And what is the function of said metal strap? It holds the front of the gas tank in place.I also just replaced the power steering pressure lines. They had rusted through.
While working on these problems I jacked up the rear of the van where that little guide pin is for the jack, and the jack just pushed right through the bottom of the fender. All that was left was a pile of rust.
So I placed the jack on the rubber hoist pad and tried to jack it up there. Same thing.
And the rust goes on.
You Utah folk can't relate.
